Pamela Mattel, LCSW has been working in the field of primary and behavioral healthcare for 30 years. Ms. Mattel graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s in Social Work and holds certificates in several post-graduate programs.

Currently, Ms. Mattel is the Chief Operating Officer of Acacia Network, the second largest Hispanic Non-Profit in the country. Acacia’s mission is “to partner with our communities, lead change, and promote healthy and prosperous individuals and families”.

Ms. Mattel is steadfastly focused on ensuring quality care for vulnerable communities, in part, by supporting Acacia through implementation of evidenced based protocols, staff ownership, community engagement, and solid collaborative relationships with community partners. She has led several initiatives receiving national attention related to increased access and integrated behavioral and primary healthcare.

She is an active participant on the New York State Medicaid Redesign Health Disparities, and Social Determinants of Health Subcommittees which propose numerous recommendations many already approved and enacted by the legislature.

Ms. Mattel has been leading the Acacia Network Medicaid Health Home Initiative in partnership with the Bronx Accountable Health Network including Montefiore Hospital, St. Barnabas Hospital, Union Health Center, and Morris Heights Health Center. Currently, she is actively involved in the NYS Delivery Reform Incentive Payment System (DSRIP) Performing Provider Bronx Regional Partnership tasked with transforming the health care delivery system.

Ms. Mattel is actively involved with local, state and federal agencies and their leaders and has helped Acacia Network become known as the “can do” organization ready, able, and willing to bring high quality care to vulnerable communities.
