The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has allowed states to temporarily waive and/or suspend some of the requirements for providers who wish to temporarily enroll in fee-for-service (FFS) Medicaid for the purpose of assisting with the COVID-19 public health emergency. OMH COVID-19 Disaster Emergency Telemental Health and Program Guidance
The effective date for COVID-19-related disaster emergency relief issued by the NYS Office of Mental Health is March 7, 2020, the date of the state’s declaration of a disaster emergency.
