The Fund is accepting applications for immediate response grants on a rolling basis from organizations responding to priority areas such as serving vulnerable populations, providing or expanding emergency assistance (e.g., food, shelter), and those at risk for gaps in government contracts or that have incurred unexpected expenses. More

 

United Way

United Way of New York City (UWNYC) is making grants available to non-profits through their COVID-19 Community Fund.  This funding is intended for rapid crisis relief.  UWNYC expects grant recipients to be ready to immediately offer services and/or deploy advocacy strategies to support NYC communities most in need.More

 

NY Women’s Foundation

2020 Resilience-NYC COVID-19 Response Fund is providing up to $25,000 for organizations who support the needs of women; transgender non-conforming, and non-binary individuals; and families impacted by COVID. More.

 

Voices for Healthy Kids 

This grant opportunity supports systems and policy change campaigns that help underserved communities gain access to health care, healthy food, and income support and stability during this critical time.

Preference is given to CBOs with demonstrated experience working to build power in communities most impacted by health inequities. Voices for Healthy Kids is an initiative of the American Heart Association and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Applications are due by Monday at 5 p.m. each week starting on May 4 through May 25, or until funding is depleted. More. 

 

Mother Cabrini Dedicating Funding to Nonprofits

The Mother Cabrini Foundation is dedicating $50 million to provide funding for nonprofit organizations addressing the health needs of New Yorkers as a direct result of COVID-19.

The Foundation will distribute the funding across NYS via Coronavirus Emergency Support Grants to community-based emergency response funds, hospital systems, Catholic Charities affiliates serving all faiths, and other organizational efforts. Learn more here.

 

NYS Health Foundation Commits $2 Million Funding for COVID-19 Response Effort

The New York State Health Foundation has committed $2 million in funding to support COVID-19 response and relief efforts throughout the state.

Grants will include contributions to numerous regional response funds, as well as support for statewide and local efforts to address emerging health care and public health needs in the wake of the pandemic. More.
