BPHC Innovation Fund Award Recipients Advance Health and Wellness in the Bronx

BPHC announced that nine member organizations were selected as its Innovation Fund award recipients to pilot new programs and initiatives that help improve the health and wellness of Bronx community members.

The organizations are: Acacia Network, ArchCare, BronxWorks, The Institute for Family Health, Mary Mitchell Family & Youth Center, Northwest Bronx Community & Clergy Coalition, Riverdale Family Practice, Services for the Underserved, and SBH Health System.

Awards totaled $1.85 million and include projects that increase enrollment in public benefits, reduce isolation of at-risk seniors, advance diabetes screening and education, and more.

BPHC initiated the Innovation Fund in June 2017 with a proposal deadline submission of July 21. Projects will begin development in October 2017.

“We were very excited about the level of interest in the Innovation Fund,” said Irene Kaufmann, BPHC Executive Director.  “It is a testament to the commitment of our members to drive healthcare transformation.”

BPHC will be inviting member organizations to submit proposals in its next Innovation Fund phase this winter.
